ICE AGE NATIONAL TRAIL
Hike along a segment of the Ice Age Trails, which snakes through the length of the forest for 31 miles.
This 25-mile trail extends from the historic city of West Bend into the scenic countryside of eastern Wisconsin past the glacial landscape of the Kettle Moraine State Forest. Built on a former railroad corridor, the history of the trail is remembered in the title "Eisenbahn," a German word for railroad.
Mauthe Lake Rec Area offers a swimming beach with picnic area, a pet picnic area, children`s playground, a reservable shelter building, a 2 mile self-guided nature trail around the lake, easy access to the Ice Age National Scenic Trail, a handicapped accessible fishing pier, boat launch, watercraft rentals, and bike trail access to Long Lake Rec Area.
The top of this 60-foot wooden observation tower is the highest point of elevation in the Kettle Moraine State Forest. It offers a panoramic view of the forest and surrounding farmland. On a clear day, you can see about 25 miles.
The Parnell Tower Trail begins from the parking lot on County Highway U. This 3.5-mile loop overlaps with a segment of the Ice Age National Trail. The tower is a favorite stop for hikers and backpackers along the trail

You will see herds of bison, deer, elk, wild sheep, along with wolves, cougar, bear, zebra, camel and much more in large natural environments. Visit the learning centers and read the educational signage posted along the way. *New this year: Eat at the Grizzly Grill
Best ice cream in the middle of nowhere.
Hand crafted with Wisconsin Dairy pride in their own creamery, Kelley's is a special place, with a viewing window so visitors can watch the ice cream being made, while enjoying their favorite flavors.
And the Creamery’s old-fashioned sun porch is a perfect spot to experience Wisconsin’s countryside while viewing a working dairy from the hillside that over looks the Kelley’s 200 acre farmstead.
And new in 2018 - a sunflower field!
